About
Kelsey

As an active member of the TV academy, Kelsey's lifelong passion for the cinematic arts can be felt throughout her colorful body of work. Whether she is writing, directing, producing, editing or in front of the camera, Kelsey has experience excelling in all of these fields.

Growing up on the stage, Kelsey devoted her childhood/young adulthood to musical theater and classical dance training. She continued her pursuit of the arts at USC, studying Broadcast Journalism, Cinematic Arts and Business and achieved her graduate degree from Pepperdine University. While in school, Kelsey interned at local news stations, acted in many student films and served as a reporter at Annenberg Television News. She spent a few years after college in front of the camera, nabbing small roles in pilots, commercials and local plays/musicals. Her behind-the-scenes career started out as a Producer’s Assistant to Sam Ruben (the beloved entertainment anchor) at KTLA Channel 5 News. She went on to gain valuable experience working as a Producer's Assistant at Entertainment Tonight, under the direct order of the famous Senior Segment Producer, Bonnie Tiegel.

Establishing McYoLo Entertainment in 2018, Kelsey has since created a 35 minute documentary called Golfingly Yours and 3 mini-series: Dating Diaries, The Accessorized Home and Kindness with Kelsey. She has had the pleasure of working with the best from crews at networks like HGTV and Lando Entertainment. Kelsey enjoyed the thrill of earning a 2020 Emmy nomination for her work on HGTV’s hit show, “A Very Brady Renovation”. She continues to create witty and original content, writing and producing a new script now. Always wearing her heart on her sleeve, Kelsey applies her insightful and sensitive intuition and unique, original humor to her writing.

From 2017-2019, Kelsey's philanthropy, "Boutique of Blessings", served almost 4000 California Wildfire victims with huge donation drives she organized throughout the state. From 2022-present, Kelsey has served as the Creative Director on a nonprofit board to save Weddington Golf and Tennis in Studio City, CA from being torn down. She engages with thousands of patrons, creates content for social media, billboards and other means of advertising and plans community events for the supporters of this cause. Kelsey has even met with LA councilmembers at City Hall and speaks at large hearings, rallies and protests, fighting to preserve the green, open space.
